Lindsay and Eric

Lindsay and Eric were married on March 16th at Sassi in North Scottsdale and their wedding was absolutely gorgeous. Sassi is such a great location and Lindsay was a stunning bride. Her Monique Lhuillier dress was one of my personal favorites to date and I loved that she chose cherry blossoms as her primary flower for the ceremony decoration and the tables as they were so elegant and unique.

I had so much fun photographing their wedding and so enjoyed meeting both of their wonderful families.

Here are some of my favorite images from the day... or view the full slideshow here.

She was so cute watching Eric through the windows arrive for the day (left)
And her anxiously awaiting the start of the ceremony (right)

Cheers!

I loved Lindsay's reaction when she saw Eric for the first time.

His reaction to her was pretty heartfelt too!

Very cute wedding guests

Congratulations Eric and Lindsay!

WPPI in Vegas

I just returned from the annual WPPI convention in Las Vegas last week where I came away with lots of new ideas, software, gear, and new friends. Mostly its a chance for thousands of wedding and portrait photographers to attend inspiring seminars and see all the latest technology and toys that we like to aquire on a frequent basis. It's always a blast, but this year was especially fun.

(L) Mary Beth Tyson of Florida, me, and (R) Kim Jarman of Michelle Allen Photography (also Phoenix) trying to look sexy **without laughing** at the big Bludomain shindig. They held a huge party in the Kingpin Suite at The Palms Hotel where there were two full sized bowling lanes inside the suite. Check it out. Fun party!

I also had the opportunity to tag along for a night time model shoot on the strip. Photographers Chris + Lynn of Canada and Jason Group of New York City pulled the shoot together with several models, which I have no doubt took lots of time and energy to execute. So a special thanks goes out to them for allowing me to be a part of it all. Here are a few fun shots from the night...

This guy wanted in on the action too.

Seren and Samuel

I had a really fun session with a wonderful family last week. Little Seren and Samuel were so adorable and fun to work with. Mom Lucie and dad Sean were both so easy going and nice, and really allowed Samuel to do his own thing, which made for some great natural shots of him playing and being two. When I first saw beautiful Seren, who is just three months old, I could not get over how much she resembles Suri Cruise -- famous daughter of Tom and Katie of course.

Both Seren and Sam have such beautiful blue eyes, so I really tried to capture them. Thank you Cristler family for such a fun day! Here are some of my favorite images... or the full slideshow.

I love this shot of Seren and her Dad

A Beautiful Bridal Portrait Shoot

I had an absolute blast this past weekend on a bridal portrait shoot. This is such an amazing way to get some truly fun, fresh and beautiful images of brides before or after the wedding. (I recommend after when you are less cautious about your dress!)

Many brides are a little distracted on their wedding day simply because the day is very surreal and the emotions can be overwhelming. I also get calls from previous brides who married a year or two ago and didn't love their wedding photos or didn't like their hair, so they'd like to have more pictures taken. This type of fun, editorial style Bridal Portrait Shoot is the perfect way to get some really amazing shots, like we did with Kim here, where you are more relaxed and we have more time just to focus on you.

It doesn't hurt that Kim is absolutely stunning and willing to do almost anything. She was such a blast to work with.

And while she looks like a model, she's not, she is a teacher!

We stopped at this area where these guys were walking their dogs and one of them just ran up to her to say hi! And then she took his little friend for a walk. It was a blast and made for some really fun shots.
