Babies, babies and more babies

I've recently photographed several babies, which I love, because I absolutely love babies. They are just so cute, especially when they are happy. The 6-12 month age range is perfect because typically they are sitting up and expressive, but not yet walking, so they can't run away from you when you try and take their picture :-) Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from recent shoots.

Kate and Abby are my friend Kim's daughters. Since Kate is almost 3, she is not as crazy about sitting still, but we did manage to get a few cute shots of them together.

I love this next one because while Mom was asking Kate to hold Abby, Kate decided it would be more fun to put a duck on her sister's head instead. Abby is just staring at me so pensively, maybe wondering... Did she just put a duck on my head?

And then there is baby Ava, who I have been photographing since she was born for my Year in the Life package. She is already 7 months and oh so sweet and cute!

I just love this expression! "Seriously. Do I have to wear this hat?" (Actually, she loved the hat)

I also spent some time with Zoe and Tyler (who recently turned 1) a few weeks ago outdoors to capture them playing and having fun. Mom and Dad just wanted shots of them being 100% themselves (my favorite!), so everything in the pictures is them being them with no imput from me :)

Tyler likes to eat. A lot.

Zoe liked her KoolAid Jammer drink

Elizabeth and Dan

Dan and Elizabeth tied the knot on April 21st at JW Marriott Desert Ridge and I've been meaning to get these up for awhile! I first met them last year when they hired me to take some photographs of their newborn son Charlie. Dan and Liz were already officially married at that point, but they decided to wait until Charlie was older to have the big celebration with family and friends. The day was beautiful as the weather was absolutely perfect. Liz had such a pretty Monique Lhuillier gown and I loved the contrast of the rich pink peonies against the sage green bridesmaid dresses. Here are some of my favorite images from the day.

I thought this was cute, because they surprised me when they popped around the corner. I love it when couples get all spontaneous and fun on me!

phoenix wedding photography I really like this picture. I love that you can only see Elizabeth a little bit, which adds this whole aire of mystery to her.

Charlie carried the rings down on his toy froggy, so even he played an active role in the events!

They had a traditional Jewish wedding, which included the signing of the Ketuvah prior to the ceremony. Theirs was a very colorful and pretty document to photograph!

The happy family. Charlie is so, so cute... he smilied for almost all the pictures, making him my kind of guy.

Published again!

The new Wedding Chronicle is out and I saw that Janna & Jeff's wedding from last fall was published in this issue! This is my second month in a row for being published in there -- very exciting :-)

The Wedding Chronicle is a great resource for Arizona brides planning their weddings. Best of all, its free and can be picked up at any AJ's.

Also, congrats to my friends and fellow wedding photographers Kimberly Jarman and Melissa Jill who were also published this month!
