Megan and Ben

I had a blast this past Saturday photographing Megan and Ben's wedding at Pebble Creek Golf Club. They had nearly 400 guests, so it was a big event! Megan looked so beautiful and it was fun to capture so many shots of her before Ben saw her for the first time. Her dress was so gorgeous -- and the colors just beautiful.

I was a little worried because it was supposed to rain all day Saturday due to a storm had blown into Arizona the day before. But for whatever reason, everything cleared out and it was an absolutely beautiful day. Not a cloud in the sky and just warm and clear -- a great day all around.

Thanks Megan and Ben for sharing your wonderful spirits with us and congratulations on your marriage!

Megan and Ben seeing each other for the first time

All the girls wore flip flops! How fun is that?! Megan actually hand glued all of the crystals on the shoes for each of her bridesmaids. We definitely needed to document the shoes!

There were so many adorable kids at their wedding. I thought this was so sweet, the girls saying their prayers before dinner.

I wish you all the best Megan and Ben!

Park Time

I took my daughter to the railroad park on Friday and captured a few photos of her playing.

I love the way the light was filtering into this sandy "jail" cell, so I played with the camera a little while the little kids played around me. They were all interested in the camera!

This is all her. I didn't prompt this moment!

Forrest's First Year

I recently took some pictures of my friends' son Forrest. He just turned one and is such an adorable little guy! He definitely has his Mom's lips. Here are a few shots...

New Website Coming Soon

Just a little tease to say my new website is coming soon!! I have been working on it for months and am so excited to launch the new looks with big, BIG pictures, integrated client proofing and much more.

It is actually two websites in one - with seperation between my portrait work and my wedding work. Both sides of my business are consistently growing and I can't imagine one without the other -- especially when my brides call me to shoot their new babies! (My favorite thing in the world!).

I should hopefully launch the new site in 2-3 weeks, so stay tuned!

Susan and Patricks Valentine's Wedding

I received a call about 3 weeks ago from an old friend asking if I was available for a small V-day wedding of her co-worker and friend Susan. I was (my husband and I are not live-or-die on the sentiments of celebrating Valentine's Day, since quite frankly, every day SHOULD be Valentines Day) and was happy to photograph their special day for them. Susan and Patrick have been together a couple years (the second marriage for both) and decided this was the year to officially tie the knot. They are an incredibly nice couple and were a joy to spend my Valentines Day with, celebrating such a romantic occassion.

What I loved about them is their uniqueness and freshness. Susan wore a beautiful deep sea blue (teal?) dress that contrasted so beautifully with her fresh bouque of simple and elegant roses.

Here are a few pictures from their evening together...

And Susan being silly - loved her spontaneity

Thanks Susan and Patrick for allowing me to document your special day!
